Advocacy
Our Board of Directors includes special needs parents and grandparents. They've been to countless IEP meetings, specialist appointments, and hospitalizations. We're here to support your family and advocate for your child's needs during these difficult times.
Independence
Through our fundraising efforts, we hope to be able to provide various kinds of durable medical equipment to children with special needs. These items may include bibs, adaptive utensils, bathroom renovations, ramps, wheelchairs, bath chairs, and other adaptive equipment as we are able.
Community
We support families beyond the therapy session by hosting monthly social gatherings. Our Beyond Therapy Play Days provide an accepting environment for children of all abilities to engage in unstructured play and make friends. We also facilitate relationships between special needs parents so they can share experiences, resources, and guidance.

Our Board of Directors were carefully selected because of their unique experiences of being special needs parents and grandparents. Together they share expertise in the medical and legal fields, therapeutic interventions, prescribing adaptive equipment, and making creative adaptations.
Monica Belanger,

Monica is a pediatric occupational therapist with a passion for helping children achieve independence in all areas of life including socially, self-care, or in any meaningful occupation. She is a Certified Autism Specialist and has many years of experience prescribing adaptive equipment for children with physical disabilities.

I am a grandmother of twins who were diagnosed with special needs. Over the years, therapy has been an incredible service leaving a positive impact on our family. I am extremely excited to be a part of the Beyond Therapy Foundation and look forward to assisting others in my community find helpful resources as well as meet others that share similar experiences.

I'm a ceramic artist and pottery teacher with 20 years experience as well as a background in working with special needs kids. I'm also a mom of two girls. My youngest daughter has Cerebral Palsy.
